Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data

Data processing related to platform visits

Each time a website is accessed and each time a file is retrieved, general data about this process is automatically stored in a log file. The storage serves exclusively system-related and statistical purposes. This data includes:

• Name of the retrieved file
• Date and time of retrieval (timestamp) of the IP address
• Transferred data volume
• Message whether the retrieval was successful
• Description of the type of web browser used
• Operating system used

The storage of this data serves, on the one hand, to prevent threats in the event of an attack on our information technology systems and, on the other hand, to improve our offerings, including to display content in a more interest-oriented manner. For this purpose, we work with service providers.

Data processing related to contacting us

In the case of contacting our customer service by email, we collect the information provided, including personal data, to process the question or concern.

Data processing when receiving information

When registering to receive information, we store your email address, first and last name, as well as the date and time of registration. We use this data exclusively for sending information and for statistical evaluations to analyze system performance. For this purpose, we work with service providers. You can make the registration at any time in your profile settings.

During registration, your data is stored and an additional confirmation message containing a link for final registration (Double-Opt-In) is generated.

If you no longer agree to the storage of data for these purposes and do not wish to continue using our services, you can unsubscribe from the respective communication lists at any time. You will find an unsubscribe link at the end of each communication. In addition, you can send us a message to [email protected] at any time, stating the registered email address, requesting to unsubscribe from this information. The data you provided will be deleted after unsubscribing.

Data processing for platform users with user accounts

To be able to post information on Foundersbase as a user and access further information and functionalities, it is necessary to register and enter your first and last name, username, email address, and a self-chosen password (mandatory information). The password is not stored in plain text. When registering as a user, this data is stored and an additional confirmation message containing a link for final registration (Double-Opt-In) is generated. If you do not confirm the registration through the link in this email, your data will be deleted after 72 hours at the latest. Only after confirming the link will your data be stored for registration as a user.

This information is necessary for concluding the contract on the use of Foundersbase services for information purposes and the communication necessary in this context.

The data you provide will be stored in any case for as long as your registration for Foundersbase exists. If you no longer agree to the processing of the data, you can deactivate your user profile by sending us a message including proof that you created the user profile to [email protected].

Cookies

We or our partners use cookies or similar technologies such as Local Shared Objects (hereinafter collectively referred to as "cookies") to collect and store information when our platform is visited. The processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 S.1 lit. f GDPR and in the interest of optimizing or enabling user guidance and adapting the presentation of our website.

Disclosure to service providers

As part of the Foundersbase offering, we partially use third parties as service providers. These third parties are processors who process personal data according to the respective specifications and only for the specific purpose for the controller according to Section 1 of this declaration. We remain responsible for the processing in this context.

Location of processing

We ourselves do not transfer your personal data to countries outside the European Economic Area, except in cases where it is permissible under the GDPR.

Our websites also contain links to third-party websites. We have no influence on whether and how third-party websites and services process your personal data.

Rights of data subjects

As a data subject, you have the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR). If incorrect personal data is processed, you have the right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR). Use of Google Analytics

We use the Google Analytics analysis service. This web analytics service is operated by Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). We use Google Analytics to evaluate your use of our website and to compile reports on user activities.

This analysis tool works in particular on the basis of cookies. Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager from Google. "Google" is a group of companies consisting of Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland and Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, as well as other affiliated companies of Google LLC.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. The Google Tag Manager is an auxiliary service and itself processes personal data only for technically necessary purposes. The tool ensures the loading of other components, which in turn may collect data under certain circumstances. Google Tag Manager does not access this data.

Google reCAPTCHA

To protect your communication via internet form, the reCAPTCHA component of Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google") is used. With reCAPTCHA, misuse through automated, machine processing can be reduced. reCAPTCHA transmits your IP address and possibly other data required by Google for reCAPTCHA to Google. Your input via the reCAPTCHA component is transmitted to Google and further processed there.
